Christie earned her Bachelor’s degree from Keene State College in New Hampshire. She was elected into the National Honor Society for Education while earning her Master’s degree in Special Education with certification in Learning Disabilities from Franklin Pierce University. Before coming to Grove, Christie worked as a paraprofessional for a students with special needs. She was also a gymnastics coach as well as a gymnast for 17 years.
Christie loves working in the therapeutic environment because she believes the best way to positively affect a person’s life is to be involved in all aspects of it. Working as a dorm staff and teacher, and now a residential administer and special education teacher gives her that opportunity. Christie has always been driven to help teens find a different, more positive way to view themselves and the world. Working with the great people and the students at Grove is an invaluable experience. There is nothing better than helping a student work hard on a specific goal, watching them grow through the process and eventually, witnessing them accomplish something they never thought they could.< Back
