Lauren joined the Grove staff as a clinician in 2006 and was appointed as the Admissions Director in 2010. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Vermont and her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from San Francisco State University. She currently holds a CT License in Marriage and Family Therapy. Lauren also has been trained in the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Seeking Safety Therapy models.
Her clinical focus is on applying DBT skills to the individual and group therapy process, as well as emphasizing the value of physical wellness as an essential component of the healthy individual. Lauren works to help students develop healthy interpersonal skills to effectively get their needs met and become more active participants in their lives.
In her role as Admissions Director, Lauren works closely with families and students as they begin the process of determining if Grove School is the right match. She is dedicated to bringing in new students and families with diverse needs to create a positive and unique community at Grove.
Lauren is proud to be a part of an environment that encourages creativity and flexibility. She develops safe and supportive relationships with students and their families to facilitate their trust in the therapeutic process.
Outside of her professional world, Lauren spends time with her husband, young son and dog exploring her personal interests of travelling, running, yoga, snowboarding and veganism.< Back
