Marissa is a licensed clinical social worker who joined Grove in 2016. She received her BA at Emerson College, and later her MSW at Hunter College in Manhattan. She worked for multiple years at Massachusetts General Hospital as a research assistant in Biostatistics and Radiation Oncology, while also working as the youngest NCAA head coach in the country (women’s lacrosse).
Upon receiving her MSW, Marissa returned to her home state of Connecticut where she worked in numerous residential and outpatient settings primarily with children and adolescents, including youth with problem sexual behaviors and drug and alcohol addictions. She continued to coach lacrosse at numerous schools alongside her clinical work. Marissa particularly enjoys working with adolescents in a community setting in which she is able to take a more holistic approach to therapy. In addition to Grove, Marissa has a private practice in Branford, CT.
Marissa enjoys swimming, surfing, biking, yoga, and New Haven pizza. She, her husband and two kids are fortunate to live near family, with whom they enjoy spending time.< Back
