Grove School Students Give Back

February 15, 2017

The act of volunteering is an integral part of our Activities Department. The Dorm-based Community Service Project is a program that allows our students to give back to their community while also creating a chance to bond and have fun as dorm community. Each dorm is responsible for selecting a cause to give their time and energy. Every month a different dorm is featured and completes their project with the help of their dorm staff. Some examples of the projects our students have chosen are volunteering at local senior center, building a house for Habitat for Humanity, raising money and walking for JDRF, and making blankets for children at Connecticut Children’s Hospital, the list goes on. The students enjoy giving back and making a difference and will often continue to serve the organization long after the month is over!
