New Club designed to Support Upcoming Musical

As the Grove School Drama Department prepared for it’s spring production of “Little Shop of Horrors”, a campy Broadway musical about a nerdy florist and a man-eating plant…it became clear that it was necessary to tap the creative energy of the students in order to produce a man-eating plant.

In January, Victor Darr organized a group of talented students to create a series of puppets who would play the part of Audrey II in the March production. The puppet crafters called themselves the “Killer Plant Club”, and undertook the project of creating four puppets ranging from eight inches to six feet. The students combined sewing skills, carpentry skills and puppetry skills to create a breathtaking work of ART.
