Lisa grew up in Connecticut and left the state to attend college at the University of Colorado at Boulder and continued onto graduate school at the Boston University School of Medicine. There she obtained her masters degree in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine and coordinated a study on smoking cessation and exercise. She was trained at Boston Medical Center in the Emergency Department and Pediatric Outpatient Clinic. She returned to Connecticut and began work at the Yale Child Study Center. There she worked with children and families of children who were transitioning out of residential treatment centers back into the home and community. She worked both in the home and in an outpatient setting. She was trained in the IICAPS model (Intensive In-home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services) and underwent several years of supervisory training. She supervised individuals preparing for licensure and supervised and coordinated the IFP (Intensive Family Preservation) Program. She was trained and worked in the MDFT (Multidimensional Family Therapy) program.

In 2009, Lisa moved to California and worked at Stanford University in the Pediatric Bipolar Disorders Program and at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto. She returned to her position at Yale in September 2010. Lisa came to the Grove School in February 2013 to work as a therapist. Since joining the Grove community she has enjoyed working with students on a long-term basis, giving her the opportunity to gain insight into the many facets of their life: including their roles as family members, students, friends and individuals.

Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has experience providing treatment and assessment for children and adolescents with disruptive behavior, ADHD, exposure to trauma, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties and autism spectrum diagnoses.

Lisa enjoys travel, the arts, hiking and spending time with her husband, two kids and dog.
