Pam started working part time at Grove School in 2005 and is now a full time nurse in the Health Center. Along with 2 years medical surgical nursing, Pam has 14 years experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing, all at the Institute of Living in Hartford CT, where she worked on the adolescent unit and the child/adolescent crisis unit. She has also worked in psychiatric homecare with the VNA, which she still does on a per diem basis. Pam has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia University. She feels Grove is an ideal setting in which to utilize her experience in healthcare and psychology and to help promote the well being of students at Grove.
Outside of work, Pam is often taking long walks by the water or in the woods. Her most important (to her) amateur pursuit is choral singing, which has been her passion since first exposure to “choir” in 3rd grade. Pam has one son who is a lieutenant in the marine Corps.
