Ashley was raised on the Connecticut Shore and joined the Grove staff after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Adolescent Education from Pace University in 2012. While at Pace, Ashley volunteered at Middlesex Hospital and The Cottage School, a middle and high school program with learning differences, and social/emotional issues. She is currently finishing her Masters Degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
Ashley began her tenure as a Teacher/Counselor in the Emmerich Dorm, and currently serves as a Residential Administrator, Student Advisor, and Dorm Administrator. She nurtures her love for science in the classroom by teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Biology. She has been a part of various aspects of the Grove community, such as the OutRun38 Running Club, Drivers Education, as well as community and special events. Ashley has participated in grove’s ASTEE programming and has taken students indoor and outdoor rock climbing, white water rafting, and zip-lining.
Areas of professional interest for Ashley include working with young teenagers that have anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and wellness and nutrition. Ashley cares for each of her advisees and is passionate about helping each of them develop better coping skills and healthy relationship strategies while at Grove and within their own families.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys training for long distance running events, the beach, boating, and spending time with her family.< Back
