Admissions Criteria

As with all residential education facilities, our admissions requirements are continually changing to meet the needs of the children being presented to us for admission. Presently Grove School accepts students ages 12 – 18.

The student may have one or more of the following diagnoses*:

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Bipolar Disorder
Depressive Disorders
Anxiety Disorders
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD)
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Gender Dysphoria
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
Personality Disorders
Social (Pragmatic) Communication Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1
Unspecified Neurodevelopmental Disorder

*Other diagnoses not listed may be considered

The Grove School does not accept students who struggle with:

Elopement
Delinquency
Fire Setting
Conduct Disorder
Overly aggressive and explosive behaviors
Active substance use
Active psychosis
Active suicidal ideation or self-injurious behaviors
Active restricting and purging behaviors
Sexual misconduct
Severe intellectual disability
