At Grove School, we believe strongly that overall health and well-being is the basis for all that is necessary for growth and success in academics and lasting emotional resilience.
Our Health Center employs 9 Registered Nurses, 2 Licensed Practical Nurses, 1 Certified Medical Assistant, and is under the direction of a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. The Health Center is capable of assessing and treating minor injuries and ailments. In the event a student’s medical condition requires more extensive evaluation or treatment, the Health Center has established relationships with area practitioners who are able to provide such services.
The Health Center hours are 8:00AM – 10:00PM, 7 days a week.
Services provided at the Health Center include:
- Medication Administration
- Care for acute illnesses and injuries
- Counseling on health and wellness
Our philosophy is that wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. We view wellness as an active process of becoming aware of, and making choices toward, a healthy and fulfilling life and so we continually educate students on taking a proactive approach to health.
