Santiago has been with Grove since 2011. He was a dorm staff and teacher for 3 years before changing his role to focus developing and leading the Academic Program. Santiago currently teaches Physics, ECE Physics (a UCONN approved college class), astronomy, High Honors Research class and Water and Society (interdisciplinary History and Science class) as well as supporting curriculum development.
Santiago has a B.A. in Physics and Masters in Secondary Science Education both from Colgate University. At Grove, his Physics Experience and Research Experience having done 5 publications in Science Journals.
Santiago believes passion and imagination is key to understand the difficult topics of academics. He to encourages our students to use their mind and imagination to explain difficult topics in physics and uses creativity and fun in the classroom to inspire learning.
Santiago loves to teach, but feels that he learns as much from his students as they learn from him. He is excited to be a part of developing a new generation of students to be curious about the world them and challenge themselves.< Back
