Amanda Aromatici (she/her) is a licensed marriage and family therapist who obtained her Master’s Degree from Southern Connecticut State University, graduating in the top percentile of her class. Amanda has been working with young adults and teenagers for almost a decade, beginning at Yale University’s student center then the New Haven Regional Childrens’ Probate Court, New Haven Public Schools, up through becoming the program director of Discovery Behavioral Health’s first Connecticut adolescent mental health Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient program. A systemic thinker, Amanda enjoys working with a client-centered mentality in empathetic and creative ways. She utilizes a balance of family systems, CBT, DBT, and ACT interventions with her clients. She also maintains a psychodynamic orientation, that is relationship focused and strength based. She is passionate about working with young people and specializes in adolescent, family, and trauma work. Amanda is also pursuing certifications in ACT and EMDR therapy.
Originally from Italy, Amanda grew up between New Haven, Milan, and Pesaro, Italy. In her free time you can find Amanda exploring the outdoors, teaching painting classes, relaxing with her dog Mae, or enjoying a cup of tea nestled in the corner of a bookstore.
