A 30 year veteran of the entertainment industry, Emily found early success as a child actor before turning her attention toward helping others shine their light. After over 15 years as an executive Talent Agent in Los Angeles,  Emily moved her family to Connecticut to focus her energies on what she loves the most – working with young actors as they find their authentic voice.

Emily has developed programming, taught and directed for Hartford Children’s Theater, CT Kids on Stage, The Actor’s Gym and The Performing Arts Center of Connecticut. She spent five years as a core director at Oddfellows Playhouse, adapting classical material for at risk youth and children of incarcerated students.

Emily serves as an adjudicator for the National High School Musical Theater Awards. She has also taught multiple workshops and been a panelist at such esteemed venues as The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Yale University.  She is currently a Teaching Artist at The Country School, focusing on bringing Shakespeare to the middle school population.

Emily firmly believes theater skills are life skills. For the last 5 years, Grove has given Emily a worthy home to nurture creativity and connections.

Emily is also a popular Spin instructor on the Shoreline, teaching 15 classes a week, one of which is devoted exclusively for Grove staff and student. Emily, her husband, and their four redheaded children enjoy living in the woods of North Madison.
