Art

At Grove School, we hope that creativity is a part of our campus’ culture and one of our goals is for art to be everywhere.  In addition to sculptures that can be found throughout the campus, the school also offers students the opportunity to take a range of electives in the Fine Arts.

Students can also participate in after-school clubs that are geared towards painting, photography, and other artistic activities. And in addition to the school’s annual Evening of the Arts, the school presents Art Fairs for the entire community to attend, in which the work of students is showcased and on display.  We want all of our students to explore the arts – for some, this can be a creative outlet, and for others it can be essential therapy.  Our Arts program is proud to present students with so many options.

  • Studio Art

    Grades: 11, 12

    Department: Art

Studio Art is a course focused on juniors and seniors who wish to pursue secondary options in the field of studio art. Students must be approved by the art department before taking the course. Each student is interviewed during the first week of class to determine their focus for the rest of the semester. Lesson plans are created based on individual student needs and the requirements that the student will need to meet during their first year in college. Students will receive assistance creating, documenting and developing a portfolio that they will be able to use in their post secondary options.
