Grove School Announces Expanded Parent Program for 2025-2026

09/16/25

Grove School is proud to announce an enhanced Parent Program Curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year, offering families more opportunities than ever to engage with our community and support their child’s growth. This comprehensive program includes four parent workshops scheduled throughout the year—October 13, November 21, February 1, and our new signature Parent’s Weekend June 5-7—along with specialized support groups and virtual educational sessions designed to strengthen the vital partnership between home and school.

“The success of our students is deeply rooted in the collaboration between the entire Grove School team and families,” says Nancy Darr, LCSW, Clinical Director. “When parents are equipped with the tools, understanding, and support they need, we see remarkable growth in our students’ emotional regulation, academic progress, and overall well-being. This expanded program reflects our commitment to ensuring every family feels connected, informed, and empowered to support their child’s journey.”

This year’s program features significant enhancements, including expanded virtual support groups facilitated by our experienced clinicians that address specific family needs—from new family orientation to adoption-themed discussions and male caregiver support—alongside convenient virtual educational sessions covering topics like substance awareness and nutritional support. The highlight of our new offerings is Parent’s Weekend in June, a celebration on Connecticut’s beautiful shoreline featuring activities, social events, program highlights, and meaningful opportunities for families to connect with each other and the Grove community. Additionally, all families will participate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families (TCI-F) training, a full-day intensive program that equips caregivers with essential skills for managing crisis situations and supporting their child’s emotional development.

Registration links will be sent to all families in the coming weeks. We strongly encourage participation in as many workshops and support opportunities as possible—your active engagement is one of the most powerful tools we have to support your child’s continued growth and success at Grove School.
