Grove School presents “Little Shop of Horrors”

March 10, 2017

Grove School’s Arts Department is proud to present this year’s annual musical, Little Shop of Horrors. With music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, this outrageous horror-rock-comedy originally premiered Off-Broadway in 1982 before inspiring a 1986 film. The story revolves around an awkward florist, Seymour, who finally finds love, but only with the help of a man-eating plant.

Opening night is Thursday, March 23rd at 7pm, followed by an encore performance for family and friends on Friday, March 24th at 7pm.

While the cast is busy rehearsing, other students are preparing for this production by designing the sets, while an entire club has been created to build the famed ‘Audrey II’ puppet. Combined with a live pit orchestra of student musicians, this production is an exciting example of the synergy within the schools Arts Department while also promising to be a fun reflection of the many creative talents throughout the Grove community.

We look forward to seeing you in the audience!
