Amy Hammer, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Amy Hammer is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who completed her education at the University of Saint Joseph. She is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider with a special interest in Nutritional Psychiatry. Amy has spent a decade in the field of psychiatry focusing on families that struggle to access adequate mental health care for their children.
Having worked in multiple settings with both adolescent and adult populations, Amy has a breadth of knowledge and experience. She is dedicated to delivering holistic and collaborative health care and committed to optimizing medication regimens while minimizing the number of medications utilized. Amy partners with patients, their families, and other members of the treatment team to establish cooperative treatment objectives, ultimately enhancing outcomes.
Outside of her professional commitments, Amy is an active participant in her community, serving as both a camp nurse for the New London County 4-H and a board member of her local Parent Teacher Organization. Amy’s interests include reading, traveling, gardening, and attending sporting events.
