Ashley Buzzanca
Ashley has been a constant presence in the Grove community since 2012, building relationships with students across nearly every aspect of campus life. A Connecticut shoreline native, she joined Grove after earning her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Adolescent Education from Pace University and later completed her master’s in Special Education at Southern Connecticut State University in 2016.
Ashley began her career at Grove as a Teacher/Counselor in the Emmerich Dorm and has since served as Assistant Residential Director, Student Advisor, Academic Case Manager, and On-Call Director. Her breadth of experience allows her to support students from multiple angles—academic, residential, and therapeutic. Throughout her tenure, she has contributed to a wide range of campus programs and community experiences, such as Driver’s Education, Prom, ASTEE trips, Parent Workshops, and local volunteer opportunities for students. She remains actively involved in ski and snowboard trips to Lake Placid and Powder Ridge, and co-leads the campus dog therapy program, bringing additional comfort and connection to students.
Ashley is particularly passionate about helping students build effective coping skills, cultivate healthy relationships, and develop resilience both at Grove and within their families. She takes pride in supporting her advisees’ personal growth and watching students discover their own strengths.
Outside of work, Ashley is a first-time parent to her son, Travis. She enjoys long-distance running, spending time at the beach, boating, and being with family.
