Diane Johnson is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Quinnipiac College and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her graduate school concentration involved quality improvement projects for sleep and parent management training (PMT) therapy to improve externalizing behaviors in children. Diane is also an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-trained clinician.
For over twenty years, Diane has practiced evidence-based clinical care. For the past decade, her work has focused on the adolescent and young adult populations. Diane’s medical background also helps her treat complex comorbid conditions.
Diane’s strengths-based, relational philosophy and holistic approach to adolescent care allow her to collaborate with each child’s family and treatment team. She is especially interested in issues related to adoption and deprescribing.
Outside work, Diane enjoys spending time with her children, watching sports, and being on the water.
