Madena has been a psychiatric nurse for many years. Madena became a registered nurse in 2006 and began in the area of psychiatry in 2011. While there, Madena was a Psychiatric Registered Nurse and was promoted from Nurse to Head Nurse. She also received a 2nd promotion to Nurse Clinician from Head Nurse while working on the ACT team.
Madena’s participation with a community mental health team led to an interest in Advanced Practiced Nursing. Madena attended graduate school at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT and received a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2017.
Madena’s last position as a psychiatric APRN was at United Community and Family Services as a PMHNP-BC, APRN performing psychiatric evaluations, medication management and education to staff and patients. Madena has always enjoyed providing education and assisting people to be and feel the best they can.
Madena is excited to be part of the Grove School clinical team. In addition to her passion for clinical work, Madena loves living on the shoreline and enjoys the beach, being outdoors and spending time with my two children and extended family. Additionally, Madena loves watching and cheering her two children from the sidelines in their many sports adventures.
