Shandel Reith, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Shandel is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who brings compassionate, evidence-based care to students and families at Grove. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia, followed by a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University. She also completed the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship through The Ohio State University, deepening her expertise in the population she serves.

 

With experience in family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, and residential treatment settings, Shandel brings a comprehensive understanding of how physical and mental health interconnect. Her broad clinical background allows her to address the complex needs of adolescents and their families with both expertise and genuine care. At its heart, her work has always been rooted in one simple goal: helping others feel better and move forward.

 

Shandel believes that the best outcomes happen through collaboration, when patients, families, and team members work together toward shared goals. She values each person’s preferences and lived experiences and works to create personalized treatment plans that empower patients and support lasting wellness.

 

Outside of her clinical practice, Shandel enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets, horseback riding, traveling, reading, and visiting local beaches. She is also deeply committed to serving her community and has volunteered as Vice President and Funds Manager for the 52-52 Cancer Run, as a Tactical Combat Role Player for T2 Trauma Training, and with organizations including the American Heart Association and Oasis Facility Soup Kitchen.
